ECMD installed solar panels on the rooftop of the resting stop buildings along the highways as part of its effort to reduce power consumption, greenhouse gas emission and carbon emission stemming from power generation.

Power from solar panels is being used only for heating water as of now, but soon it will be used for other purposes as well to reduce power consumption and make contribution to the environment preservation.

ECMD store at the Yangpyeong resting stop(north/southbound) along the second Yeongdong highway has 85%(65 units) of its heating devices as electric induction cook top with no harmful gas emission.

It helps reduce the kitchen room temperature, prevents fire or burn, and ensures employee health while reducing air pollution.
