Ethical(TISO) Management

For the healthy life of consumers and sustainability of the Earth, Pulmuone practices ethical (TISO) management with fairness and transparency based on the company’s core value called “Passion with TISO.”

 

Defining “right mind” and “ethical (TISO) management”

Pulmuone’s corporate culture is based on the notion of having “right mind,” which derived from the company motto set in 1982 called, “Right Mind(正心), Right Farming(正農), Right Eating(正食).” The meaning behind it is to connect farmers, who practice right farming (正農), to consumers, who want right and good dietary lifestyle (正食), with a right mind (正心).

 

The right mind that Pulmuone pursues can be defined as follows:

First, it is about “having a caring mind to serve authentic wholesome foods that are safe for my family.” Since its inception, Pulmuone has considered food safety as the number one priority and thus, strived to manage and ensure safety of the foods it provides.

 

Secondly, it is about “clearly understanding the values Pulmuone’s products and services provide to consumers, and having the mind to deliver such values without any distortion or overstatement.”

 

Building on the principle of having the right mind (正心), the core value that all employees of Pulmuone need to have and practice is embodied in “Passion with TISO.”

 

From Pulmuone’s management perspective, “right mind” includes “fairness” and “transparency.” Hence, Pulmuone’s TISO management can be defined as conducting fair and transparent business activities for the healthy life of consumers and sustainability of the Earth based on the core value of Passion with TISO. The fair management refers to meeting compliance requirements by having fair trades and seeking win-win growth with stakeholders in accordance with relevant laws and the company’s rules and regulations. Also, the transparent management implies considering anti-corruption and accounting transparency as the basis for the company.

 

Pulmuone is currently equipped with policies and plans to fight all types of corruption and ensure fair trades with its business partners. The company also has a whistleblowing system, and carries out regular training sessions and audits to reinforce corruption prevention and follow-up management.

 

To better implement policies related to TISO management, Pulmuone established “TISO Policy,” which defines the framework, basic operations, and standards of the management, “Code of Conduct,” which gives descriptions on how to act based on TISO principles, and “Code of Practice Handbook,” made to elaborate on the Code of Conduct for employees to better understand the contents. The rules and regulations on the TISO management are uploaded on Pulmuone Groupware (Knowledge Worker Platform, KWP) for employees to see, and cases of violations of the rules are addressed according to principles and regulations.
