Pulmuone is committed to create healthy tomorrow for the people and planet with wholesome foods.

Under the Eco Caring strategy, Pulmuone strives to minimize the environmental impact of its business operations, including sustainable agriculture, the use of sustainable certified ingredients, and the identification and mitigation of environmental impacts resulting from corporate activities. Through this management policy, we will establish plans to address potential natural capital risks and work towards improvements.
This policy applies company-wide to our facilities and employees as well as efforts to extend its application to suppliers and collaborating companies and other relevant stakeholders.

1.    Pulmuone aims to prevent a net loss (NNL, No Net Loss) of biodiversity resulting from business operations in biodiversity conservation areas and nearby regions and strives to have a net positive impact (NPI, Net Positive Impact) by 2050.

2.    Pulmuone will comply with the legal requirements of the respective countries and regions where international agreements on biodiversity conservation and protection apply, such as World Heritage areas and IUCN Category I-IV protected areas. Additionally, efforts will be made to minimize environmental impacts resulting from business operations in areas of high biodiversity conservation value.

3.    A management system will be established to identify the impact on biodiversity, especially for endangered species, and to implement mitigation measures when significant impacts are identified in our facilities and nearby areas.

4.    Pulmuone will conduct regular assessments of natural-capital risks in our facilities and supply chain to enhance the sustainability of natural capital. Risk reduction activities will also be carried out.

5.    Pulmuone will seek input from local communities and stakeholders regarding biodiversity issues such as loss and habitat destruction resulting from business operations. We will develop improvement plans for reasonable concerns.

6.    Pulmuone will strive to preserve forests through "No Gross Deforestation" and "Reforestation" efforts. When establishing new facilities, efforts will be made to minimize forest damage, and when exiting existing operations, efforts will be made to restore green spaces, including forests.
