Human Rights - Assessment & Human Rights Mitigation and Remediation
Results of Human Rights Due Diligence
In March 2022, Pulmuone proactively participated in the “Corporate Human Rights Management Pilot Program” organized by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. A human rights impact assessment was conducted across the entire value chain—from manufacturing and production to sales and distribution of tofu products—to identify potential human rights violation risks.
In 2023, Pulmuone independently carried out human rights impact assessments at the PPEC Eumseong Fresh Noodle Plant and the Pulmuone Doan Green Juice Plant. Based on the findings, a company-wide human rights risk management system was established in 2024. Pulmuone plans to conduct a comprehensive human rights impact assessment across all operations by 2025, aiming to identify vulnerabilities specific to each business unit and workplace.
Status of Human Rights Due Diligence over the past three years
Human Rights Risk Mitigation/remedial measures
Following the 2023 human rights impact assessment, we identified three key improvement areas—refinement of human rights due diligence process, enhancement of human rights violation remediation procedures," and formation of a human rights-friendly organizational culture—and developed human rights due diligence plans at both the corporate and site levels. We enhanced our grievance procedures by adding expert labor reviews and judgment panels to ensure greater fairness and credibility. We also strengthened follow-up actions, including victim support and preventive training. In addition, we established a company-wide human rights training program and began issuing regular newsletters to promote a culture that respects human rights.
