Verification of Environmental Programs

Management System 2025-08-29

Pulmuone has established an environmental management system that complies with ISO 14001, the global environmental management system standard, and ISO 45001, the occupational health and safety management system standard, and has obtained and maintains certification for these standards. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that provide criteria for overall corporate operations including management systems, product manufacturing, and service provision in the areas of environment, safety, and health. Pulmuone obtained ISO 14001 certification for domestic manufacturing and logistics subsidiaries and Pulmuone Technology Institute in 2015, and ISO 45001 certification in 2018, maintaining these certifications to date. As of 2024, a total of 18 sites (58.47% based on revenue) including the Pulmuone Co., Ltd., Pulmuone Institute of Technology, and manufacturing and logistics sites hold ISO 14001 certification.

Additionally, as a food manufacturing company based in Korea, Pulmuone conducts internal audits as all business sites are subject to environmental permits and audits from the Ministry of Environment and local governments in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. These audits comprehensively assess emission sources and volumes of air pollutants, hazardous chemicals, and waste generated during business operations, as well as reporting practices and compliance with legal requirements. Identified issues are classified as operational risks and are managed by the Integrated Operations Committee. Both internal and external audits are conducted two to four times annually as required by relevant regulations. Furthermore, real-time monitoring of individual environmental indicators, such as water resources and waste, is carried out through government-operated platforms, including the Allbaro System and the SOOSIRO System.
