Health and Nutrition Improvement Overview

Health & Nutrition Improvement Policies 2025-03-24

Health and Nutrition Strategy

Pulmuone provides Nutrition Balance products and diets that reduce excessive intake of sodium and sugar saturated fats and complement vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals as it establishes guidelines for improving the health and nutrition of products.
(1) Pulmuone’s Nutrition Standards provide the acceptable levels per serving for each product group to avoid excessive intake of 'sodium, sugars, and saturated fats', which have emerged as risk factors for nutritional imbalance. The standards are internalized and reflected in the product development process.
(2) Pulmuone's Nutrition Balance Food Pattern is a ‘Sustainable diets' model that considers personal health and the global environment together. According to the life cycle, meal composition plans have been established for infants, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. We have internalized 1,800kcal standards per day and introduced them to meal services that emphasize health and nutrition.
(3) Low GL is a dietary method proposed by Pulmuone to lower the glycemic load. Pulmuone is applying the GL Prediction Model, developed through clinical research, to the development of foods that lower the blood sugar load.

Pulmuone's Health & Nutrition Research Team establishes and revises Nutrition Standards based on the World Health Organization(WHO), Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans(KDRIs), Dietary Guidelines for Americans, national nutrition policy and clinical research. It manages the products and diets produced by Pulmuone to comply with Nutrition Standards. It monitors products and improves nutrition through its management system.

Provides Nutritional Information for the Product

Pulmuone provides nutritional information for all products on its web page and food labeling on its product packaging so that consumers can sympathize with the health, nutrition and sustainability of the product.
(1) Application of nutritional labeling of all products to global markets
Pulmuone marks nutritional labeling on all products obligated to compliance with national-specific food laws. In Korea, in addition to a total of 9 items (calorie, sodium, carbohydrate, sugar, fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, trans fat, and protein), it voluntarily provides additional detailed nutritional information including dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and iron.

(2) Accurate marketing communications for product characteristics
Pulmuone expresses its characteristics in product packaging as a brand and markets product characteristics such as raw materials, flavors, vegetables, alternative foods, sustainability and recipes. It markets product characteristics such as evidence to health and nutritional strengths, recipes and enjoy products on the web page of product sales channels(online malls, etc.)

Improve product accessibility and intake

Pulmuone improves consumers to continuously consume health and nutritional products and reduce the burden of food consumption. Improve the price accessibility of products and diets by examining appropriate prices through consumer research during the product development stage or the development of new diet types. Pulmuone also struggle to prevent negative effects on health and nutrition caused by excessive consumption of products. As a representative activity include packaging the product in units of two servings, avoiding increasing the size of the food, and providing information so that consumers can know the size in advance.
