Energy management at production sites

Pulmuone mitigated carbon emissions by replacing 50% of lightings at food production sites with energy efficient LEDs suitable for distinct production processes, and the plan is to change over 75% of them in 2017. Also, the company upgraded old freezers and wastewater treatment system, and replaced once-through boilers, condenser coils, and unit coolers to boost the energy efficiency of aged facilities.

Energy management at Exofresh Logistics

After installing automatic defrost system with air pressure sensors at Exofresh Logistics centers, defrosting frequency decreased, resulting in improved efficiency of refrigerating facilities along with their lifespan, and lower maintenance costs. In addition, the centers deployed new environmentally-friendly freezers with highly efficient motors, which reduced up to 20% of energy consumption compared to existing facilities. Also, centers across Korea changed their lightings to eco-friendly energy-saving LEDs.
