Environmental Training for Employees
Pulmuone is promoting environmental education and campaigns for internal and external stakeholders to recognize the impact of business activities can have on the environment and to promote the development of various ideas to minimize such impact.
1. Company-wide Environmental Training
Pulmuone Academy operates curricula to change environmental habits in daily life across the company, and also leads the way in changing the perceptions of external stakeholders by organizing hands-on experience event for customers. In addition, Pulmuone and its affiliates continuously promote employee education on effective environmental management. We provide mandatory training on specialized areas of environmental management defined under the Water Environment Conservation Act, Waste Management Act, Noise and Vibration Control Act, and Clean Air Conservation Act at each workplace. In 2023, we provided a total of 120 hours of environmental management training.

2. Pulmuone’s Water Scrooge Challenge
Pulmuone Eumseong Tofu Factory held a "Water Scrooge Challenge" event to raise employees' awareness of water conservation in 2023 in order to reduce company-wide water consumption. The Water Scrooge Challenge was an event held during the month of April to collect videos of water waste cases, water-related safety breaches, and sites that need improvement, and to come up with improvement plans. The effectiveness of the improvement plans was measured and the savings made were confirmed.
Mobile coupons were awarded for the best videos and water-saving improvements. In addition, additional prizes were awarded to employees who submitted videos through a lottery to encourage more people to take an interest in water resource management. As the event was found to be highly successful in bringing employee's attention to factors that may cause unneccessary water waste inside the factory, we plan to organize various campaigns in the future to further focus on internalizing environmental management among employees.
