AI technologies are creating new opportunities for business innovation and value creation across a wide range of areas, including supply chain optimization, operational efficiency, customer experience, and predictive analytics. At the same time, they present complex risks that require careful management, including data bias, privacy concerns, cybersecurity threats, lack of transparency in decision-making, and potential social and environmental impacts.

To responsibly harness the opportunities presented by AI while proactively managing these risks, Pulmuone has established and implemented its Basic Policy on AI Ethics and Responsible Use to uphold human-centered values and build a trustworthy AI ecosystem. The Policy sets out principles to be followed throughout the AI lifecycle, from planning and design to development, operation, and use, and applies to all Pulmuone employees.

To translate these principles into practice, Pulmuone also operates a Responsible AI Program that supports the implementation of the Policy. Through this program, Pulmuone seeks to build stakeholder trust and promote responsible AI governance aligned with relevant domestic and international regulations and globally recognized standards, including the OECD AI Principles, UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, and the EU AI Act.

① Responsible AI Policy

Pulmuone’s Basic Policy on AI Ethics and Responsible Use was approved by the General CEO and subsequently reported to the Strategy Committee under the Board of Directors.

Pulmuone supports the implementation of the Policy through specific programs and verification mechanisms.
