Pulmuone applies internationally recognized nutrition profiling systems, Health Star Rating & Nutri-Score and its own proprietary Pulmuone's Nutrition Standard in parallel to manage its portfolio of health-oriented products in support of consumers' healthy dietary lifestyles, and regularly tracks and discloses the revenue generated by these product categories on an annual basis.

 

 

① Nutrition Profiling Systems Applied

 

(1) Nutrition Quality Rating Systems – Health Star Rating (HSR), Nutri-Score

 

Pulmuone evaluates the nutritional quality of its products based on two international standards: the Health Star Rating (HSR) and Nutri-Score. Under Health Star Rating, the company tracks the annual revenue of products that have achieved a score of 3.5 or higher, while under Nutri-Score, it tracks the annual revenue of products that have achieved a grade of A or B. The number of products meeting each standard continues to increase year over year.

 

 

(2) Other Nutrition Quality System : Pulmuone's Nutrition Standard

 

Pulmuone separately tracks the revenue of products that meet its self-developed Pulmuone's Nutrition Standard. This standard serves as Pulmuone's proprietary Corporate Nutritional Profiling System, designed to continuously monitor the nutritional status of products and diets in order to reduce excessive intake of sodium, sugar, and saturated fat while complementing overall nutritional balance. As core strategies of its nutrition policy for developing wholesome foods, Pulmuone is pursuing "Nutrition Balance" and "Low GL (Glycemic Load).”

 

• Nutrition Balance: Refers to a nutritionally balanced dietary lifestyle. Since unbalanced eating habits disrupt nutritional balance and increase the likelihood of lifestyle-related diseases, Nutrition Balance supports dietary improvement by reducing the intake of commonly overconsumed nutrients—sodium, sugar, and saturated fat—while increasing the intake of foods rich in vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Pulmuone has established and operates the "Principles of Wholesome Foods" to promote a nutritionally balanced diet, along with nutrition standards for product development management.

 

• Low GL: Refers to a dietary lifestyle that lowers sugar absorption. Low GL provides a nutritionally balanced diet centered on foods with low glycemic load, emphasizing the intake of vegetables, low-fat protein, and whole grains, thereby helping prevent lifestyle-related diseases caused by excessive intake of refined carbohydrates and contributing to a longer, healthier lifespan.

 

 

② Health and Nutrition Targets and Performance

 

Pulmuone continues to conduct research aimed at developing more nutritious, safe, and healthy products. In particular, the company has prioritized reducing sodium, sugar, and saturated fat content—nutrients that have negative health effects when overconsumed—as its top priority in addressing nutritional imbalance. The Pulmuone Nutrition Standard, revised in 2017, started with a compliance rate of 59.5%, and the target compliance rate for 2025 is 81.8%. The compliance rate has continued to rise each year, with a long-term goal of achieving 100% compliance.

(1) Nutrition Quality Rating Systems: This figure aggregates the annual revenue of products that achieved a score of 3.5 or higher under Health Star Rating, and the annual revenue of products that achieved a grade of A or B under Nutri-Score.

 

(2) Other Nutrition Quality Systems: This refers to sales of products that comply with Pulmuone’s Nutrition Standards. Pulmuone monitors the nutritional status of products and meals in accordance with these standards to reduce excessive intake of sodium, sugars, and saturated fats, while supplementing overall nutrition.

 

(3) Total Revenue from Healthy Products: This is calculated by separately deriving: (i) the sum of revenue from products meeting Health Star Rating under the Nutrition Quality Rating Systems and revenue from products meeting Other Nutrition Quality Systems (Pulmuone's Nutrition Standard), and (ii) the sum of revenue from products meeting HSR, Nutri-Score, and Pulmuone's Nutrition Standard in aggregate.

 

(4) Total Food & Beverage Revenue: This refers to total sales from foods and beverages generated by Pulmuone Foods and Foodmerce.

 

(5) Healthy Products Revenue Ratio (%): The ratio of total revenue from healthy products to total food & beverage revenue. This ratio is disclosed separately as (i) a figure calculated based on HSR alone, and (ii) a figure calculated based on the combined HSR and Nutri-Score criteria.

 

This year, Pulmuone compiled the revenue of products meeting each of the HSR and Nutri-Score criteria individually; however, the combined figure of both criteria was not submitted as the official external disclosure response, and only the revenue based on the HSR criterion was reported. Nevertheless, as Pulmuone internally manages the revenue data for both criteria, all data derived in the table above has been reflected accordingly.
