Water Consumption in Water-Stressed Areas
The water withdrawal rate in the water stress areas is 17.94% in 2022.16 facilities fall into the category of water-stressed areas, including PPEC Chuncheon, PPEC Global Kimchi, Exo fresh Yangji center, 11 services (South Korea), Fullerton (the US), and Beijing (China). Using the WWF Water Risk Filter as an evaluation tool, water stress area is determined if an area’s baseline water stress in the physical: quantity-scarcity is 4 or higher (classified in 1 to 5 scale).
