Voluntary inspection on fair trade with business partners

Fair Management 2017-12-08

The core purpose of operating the Fair Trade Compliance Program (CP) is to prevent possible legal breaches. Hence, Pulmuone conducts inspections semi-annually on unfair practices and violation of subcontract-related laws to prevent such breaches from taking place.

The inspections look for acts of legal breach, observance of legal procedures, etc. in various cases such as signing contracts to initiate transactions, making payments, handling claims, encouraging capital investment, etc. by interviewing business partner’s CEO.

Furthermore, Pulmuone is creating a fair trade culture by showing its commitment to voluntary compliance, introducing the CP, and sharing the program’s operation status.

In 2016, Pulmuone conducted onsite inspection on business partners of Pulmuone Foods and Foodmerce to identify potential unfair business practices that could arise in transactions and ways to complement the current processes. Pulmuone will continue its efforts to ensure that the partnerships are sustained based on mutual trust.
